The tool on this page has no AI: you type the tempo map yourself — tempo, measures, meter per section — and it renders the click. It covers the case where the numbers are already in front of you. Yes, two practical ones. Both save you working the tempo map out yourself — the manual generator on this page is there for when you already know it.
How do I make a click track from a song?
Find the tempo first: play the song and tap along with the tap tempo counter. Then build the track, one section per tempo or meter change, with the measure counts from the chart or from counting bars. If you have the sheet music, Subdivide's scan feature reads all of that from a photo instead.
Does this web generator use AI?
No — this page's tool is deliberately manual: you type the tempo map and it renders exact, deterministic audio. The AI options live in the Subdivide ecosystem: the iOS app's sheet-music scan and the ChatGPT app. All three routes end in Subdivide — the scan builds the track in the app, ChatGPT hands you a link that opens there, and tracks built on this page get there via the send-to-phone QR.
Can the AI-generated track change tempo and meter mid-song?
Yes. Tracks are built from sections, each with its own BPM and time signature, whether they come from a scan, from ChatGPT, or from the form on this page — so a 96 BPM verse into a 128 BPM chorus into a 7/8 bridge builds the same way as any other track.
